Problem Note 60417: Garbage characters occur for cross-classification variable values in the ScenTrans data set
In SAS® High-Performance Risk, cross-classification variables (CCVs) might have spaces or garbage characters at the beginning of their values in the ScenTrans data set. This issue is caused by one or more CCVs that are not multiples of 8 bytes.
To work around this issue, do one of the following:
- In the DECLARE INSTVARS statement, make the width of each CCV a multiple of 8 bytes.
- If only one CCV is a problem, make it the last CCV in all CROSSCLASSVARS statements in the HPRISK procedure.
